Summer will soon be in in full swing and while some of us are dreaming about jetting off on a faraway voyage, there’s just as much adventure to be found closer to home.

We’ve had more than our fair share of rain in St Andrews recently which has meant it’s been a soggy few weeks in the kitchen garden. We caught up with Head Gardener – Phil Harper to find out what is happening in the garden and what we can expect to see on the menu at Seasons Restaurant in the coming weeks.

Rufflets' pastry chef, Petra Brandhorst comes from Bremen, Germany and enjoyed telling us what is traditionally baked in her home town as well as in kitchens throughout Europe and further afield. 

We caught up with Gavin Aitken at Rufflets for some advice on Scottish whisky and to find out what makes it the best.
